HOW ARE WE DOING?

MCR monitors all its collection rounds on a weekly basis, both for Health and Safety reasons and to check performance. Here are the weights per household figures for December 2008 to March 2009.

The Rural South round covers Shirenewton, Trellech, Llangybi, Devauden, parts of Magor and most of the villages and lanes in the south of the county.

The All-materials Pilot area covers The Danes in Chepstow, part of Caldicot and Caerwent. These 2000 households receive the Twin Bin system and have plastics and cardboard collected in addition to the glass, paper, cans and textiles collected in our standard service. This pilot is being run on behalf of Monmouthshire County Council to evaluate the source-separated and co-mingled collection systems.
